Wai Manuka launches in New York<\/h3>\n

Wai Manuka is making strides in New York, receiving a second order only two weeks after company\u2019s first order landed.<\/p>\n

Chief executive Joe Harawira said the demand from New York was growing at a rapid rate.<\/p>\n

Last week, Wai M\u0101nuka launched into high-end retail chain Citarella Gourmet Market, with seven locations across New York.<\/p>\n

The brand has also attracted interest from over 200 luxury caf\u00e9s and restaurants through its premium US brand partner Finesaler.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe shipped over four pallets of Wai M\u0101nuka, which landed two weeks ago, and we\u2019re now in discussions to manufacture and send a full container ahead of the US summer months,\u201d Mr Harawira said.<\/p>\n

A single container of Wai M\u0101nuka holds more product than the company has sold through New World supermarkets across New Zealand over the past 15 months.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn our original plan, we expected to ship our first container within 12 to 18 months \u2014 not as part of our second order,\u201d Mr Harawira said.<\/p>\n

He is feeling positive about the future and is already in discussions with a US-based global beverage investment company.<\/p>\n

He said Finesaler had reported Wai M\u0101nuka brand resonated with high-end customers in New York.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, exports to Japan have been building steadily, reflecting growing interest and long-term potential.<\/p>\n
